David Ward is currently pursuing a Masters in Music degree and adding the roles of Director and Teacher to his varied repertoire.

During the 2010 summer season, David staged scenes from The Abduction from the Seraglio, The Magic Flute and La Cenerentola for Des Moines Metro Opera's (DMMO) James Collier Apprentice Artist Program.

In 2009 he assisted director Kyle Marrero with a production of Gianni Schicchi and directed a scene from La Cenerentola also for the apprentices at DMMO.

In 2008 David assisted director Susan Gonzalez with a production of Too Many Sopranos for the Hunter College, CUNY, Music Department.

David has taught Master Classes at the University of Nebraska/Lincoln and for Opera New Jersey's Apprentice Program at the McCarter Theater in Princeton, NJ.
